Yours Truly is Now a Constitution Party Correspondent for Independent Political Report

Posted under Constitution Party & Media & Site Issues

IPR is a leading website for third party and independent news. This is a good opportunity because IPR gets a lot of traffic and has a pretty low (high) Alexa rating (72,000ish).

Lincoln is Da’ Man and Strauss is my Homeboy

Posted under Site Issues

Hello, my name is Harry Jaffa. I would like to thank my good friend Remesh for inviting me to contribute to his new blog. I have been looking over the blog, and the current bloggers are talented writers, especially that Red Phillips fellow, but they are hopelessly backwards looking. Their conservatism is too tied to history, time, place and people. As Strauss taught me, this is a bad thing and is probably even crypto-Fascists. This is the year 2010. Who has time for backwards looking conservatism anymore? What this site needs is a good dose of progressive, forward looking conservatism. The kind of conservatism that celebrates universal human rights and liberal democracy uber alles, and recognizes the unique role of America as Redeemer Nation. We must finish the project Lincoln started by bringing these Enlightened virtues to all the benighted masses of the world, at the point of a gun if necessary. You know what they say about not being able to make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. I look forward to blogging here frequently and straightening these guys out. Their hearts are in the right place, but they have obviously never received the proper indoctrin… err… I mean education.

By the way, that “Red” Phillips needs a new nick name. “Red” makes him sound like some hick from flyover country. How is he supposed to appeal to bi-coastal elites with a moniker that conjures up images of overalls and coon hounds? I’ll have a little sit down with him and get him right. Otherwise he seems like potential “in group” material.

CHT Sold: The New Conservative Heritage Times

Posted under Site Issues

It is with pleasure that I announce the recent purchase (for an undisclosed amount) of Conservative Heritage Times, which I intend to use as my personal blog.

Current bloggers will retain their posting privileges (for the time being), but there will be a few changes to the site. The pictures at the top will be replaced by photos of Gandhi, MLK, Linda Chavez, Michael Steele, and hip-hop Republican Cleo E. Brown. There will also be a few philosophical changes to the site:

(1) Abortion now may only be criticized through the lens of racism (such as “abortion is racist”) or via an appeal to universal human rights.

(2) No criticism of immigration from the Third World, especially from India, will be allowed, but we may relish the downward trajectory of European Americans.

(3) No criticism of nation building or foreign interventionism will be permitted.

(4) All European fascists – such as Jean Raspail or the BNP – must be condemned.

(5) No criticism of free trade will be tolerated.

and

(6) The interests of the Third World should be put before those of the U.S.

That said, these changes will not affect the general tone of the site.  I look forward to bringing this website toward a truer, purer conservatism.  Now let’s blog!

More on Richard Spencer Leaving TakiMag

Posted under Conservatism & Political Correctness & Political Philosophy & Site Issues

Note: I have been informed that we may be getting the whole story soon straight from the horse’s mouth. For that reason I am removing the majority of this post which is speculative. While I hope it was informed speculation, it may not be the whole truth. Better to get it straight from the source.

From the beginning, one of the problems with paleoconservatism as a potential “movement” (for lack of a better term) is its depressing tendency to eat its young. It has repeatedly been torn by differences on issues as well as strong personalities. One of the reasons we started Conservative Heritage Times is because we wanted to be, as much as possible, above the fray. We wanted to create a paleoish site that was not overly associated with any one particular faction and was friendly with all. As such, we have sometimes commented on internal debates, while hopefully remaining friendly with all sides. (Recently, Larison vs. Raimondo for example.) I have often worried that this might come off as gossipy. That is not the intent. The intent is to inform our readership of the goings-on within the movement. This assumes we have many “unaffiliated” readers that likely surf TakiMag, Chronicles, Lew Rockwell, TAC, etc. on a routine basis and takes away from them what they like and leave the rest without personal animosity.

There has been much discussion on the internet about Richard Spencer leaving TakiMag, much of it surprisingly or not, at White Nat and racialist sites. Much of the speculation has been highly ill-informed, proving that White Nats need to venture outside their circle a little more (for something other than thread hijacking), because much of what I am about to point out has been public and obvious to anyone who follows all things alt-right. This is an attempt to correct the record, not throw fuel on the fire.

The rest of this post has been deleted for now. I will withhold further comment until Richard speaks for himself.

Mobies and other disruptors and knaves, you’ve have your fun

Posted under Site Issues

Having been banned from other websites for being politcally incorrect (especially Not-So-Free Republic), the editors CHT wanted to maintain a free form comments section as much as possible and avoid censoring anyone.

However, from now on, editors will be policing their posts more vigorously and  anything vile, idiotic, bigoted, profane or otherwise stupid commentary will be taken down as a result. You have been warned.

Is Captainchaos a Moby? Discuss

Posted under Race & Site Issues

Is Captainchaos a Moby? You have to wonder. Could even his monomaniacal dumb a** be so stupid as to think that posting paeans to Hitler on a thread about the Episcopal Church helps his White Nat case? For those unaware of the term, the definition of a Moby is posted below.

An insidious and specialized type of left-wing troll who visits blogs and impersonates a conservative for the purpose of either spreading false rumors intended to sow dissension among conservative voters, or who purposely posts inflammatory and offensive comments for the purpose of discrediting the blog in question.

The term is derived from the name of the liberal musician Moby, who famously suggested in February of 2004 that left-wing activists engage in this type of subterfuge…

Having recently been influenced by the inspirational words of Barack Obama and David Frum, many of my political views have changed. As a result, I cannot but question the rationale for a site such as this one. As of Friday, this site will no longer exist. Continue Reading »

Discovering Facebook

Posted under Site Issues & Uncategorized

Recently my wife created a Facebook account, on the urging of some ladies from church, and she invited me by e-mail to be one of her “friends.” I didn’t have a Facebook account so I created one. It was really quite simple. But don’t be fooled by the original simplicity. Like the Mafia, once you’re in, you’re in.

It interfaces with your Yahoo account, if you allow it, when you first get started, and sends a friend invite to anyone you chose who is in your e-mail directory and who also has a Facebook account. By this method I made several quick friends, including frequent CHT commenter RonL.

Happily, I have discovered a somewhat tight paleocon and paleolibertarian network on there. I ended up making friends with several other paleos who were friends of friends. Some whom you might even call paleo luminaries.

Anyway, this is a useful networking tool, besides being a lot of fun. (Perhaps dangerously fun.) For example, TakiMag has a fan site, TAC has a fan site, Chronicles has a fan site, V-Dare has a fan site, etc. I want to create a CHT fan site, but I want it to have more than one member. I will send friend invites to all the editors and frequent commentors. If you are not interested, just delete it. Once we are strong enough in numbers, I will create an official home for CHT on Facebook. (In case you are worried, Facebook arose as the more family friendly alternative to MySpace. On Facebook you can restrict access to who can see your profile.)

I’ll give folks time to read this, and then I’ll send the invites. If you are not interested, you can say so in the comment section also. If you are already on there, but with a different e-mail, send me an invite.

Onward into the 21st Century!

Eunomia hits the big time

Posted under Site Issues

The editors at The American Conservative have recognized what those of us at CHT have known for quite some time: Daniel Larison is a pretty damn good writer and that’s why they taken Larison’s Eunomia blog and made it their own. You can check it out here
