In defense of Emma West – Epic Tram Lady
Walter

Posted under Europe & Immigration & Race

In Saxons, Vikings, and Celts, Bryan Sykes writes about how closely the DNA of the local English matched that of the “Cheddar Man” (a skeleton 12,000 years old). In other words, the local English had been living in that area for probably around at least 12,000 years.  In fact, as Sykes points out,  it seems that the overwhelming majority of the English are descended from the Paleolithic and Mesolithic settlers who have been in the British Isles for more than 10,000 years.

But in recent decades, as hordes from the Third World have invaded the British Isles, the ancient blood of the British Isles is under threat.  The very country that Englishmen and Englishwomen have known since time immemorial is bring turned into a Third World sewer right before their very eyes.  And some angry people are speaking out against it.  Emma West, who’s now been dubbed The Epic Tram Lady, apparently had an outbreak on the tram.  While her manner might not have been the most polite and effective, it’s understandable that concerned English will be upset at the transformation before their eyes.  She had enough and could no longer keep quiet.  But apparently candor comes at a high price in the UK, as Emma West might be prosecuted under the new Orwellian PC “hate” laws — essentially for saying in public what nearly every English person I know believes and has more-or-less said in private.  I worry about what the future holds.

Updates:

Sean Gabb: “Miss West has now been arrested for her opinions and locked away, and her children have been taken away by the social services. Of course, if she had been wearing a headscarf and screeching about the “kuffar” who were killing her brothers and sisters in Iraq/Afghanistan, the authorities would have looked the other way. For a woman to have her children taken away because she expressed opinions disliked by the ruling class means we have come as close as doesn’t matter to a totalitarian police state.”

Britain First:  ”Today, dozens of Britain First activists – and allied patriots – demonstrated outside the prison where the ‘Tram Lady’ Emma West has been incarcerated all week….The latest news to arise in this case is that Miss West is being subjected to psychiatric tests in prison! This is exactly the same kind of scandalous behaviour that occurred in the totalitarian Soviet Union: if you disagreed with Communism, you were declared mad! Likewise in Britain, if you disagree with liberal, politically correct multiculturalism, the ruling elite will also try to declare you mad!”

The headline advertises a defense of Emma West. Where is it?

  2. Bruce on 02 Dec 2011 at 12:31 pm #

I read Sykes book several years ago. As I recall (perhaps incorrectly) the British descend largely from neolithic (and to some extend mesolithic) inhabitants of the island.

    Aaron,

It’s in the combination of the 2nd paragraph and the links.

We are unfortunately not far behind. New York essentially has laws like this for businesses.

The Commission on Human Rights …..

Bruce, I’m a little surprised to hear that reply from you. I didn’t follow the links, but “[s]he had enough and could no longer keep quiet” doesn’t like a defense to me. Or if you want to call it a defense, then it sure is an awfully ghetto defense. Would you accept that defense from your children for treating innocent people like that? I wouldn’t accept it from mine.

All I know is what I saw on the video (who knows what led up to it?), but taking it at face value, there’s nothing that can justify her behavior. None of those people did anything to deserve the abuse she gave them. There are people who do deserve it, but they weren’t there. Maybe they were sitting in Parliament at the time. But again, all that’s taking the out-of-context video at face value.

A drunken rant on a tram is not appropriate. We’ve gone from an educated erudite spokesman to a drunk mother. That’s a disgrace.

  6. Walter on 02 Dec 2011 at 8:11 pm #

    RonL,

I didn’t say it was appropriate. I said I can understand why she did it. Expect more outbursts like this as Westerners are dispossessed from their own lands.

  7. Bruce on 03 Dec 2011 at 12:02 am #

Full confession Aaron. I didn’t even watch the video (and haven’t) because I was at work. I assumed what the content was and I shot my mouth off without thinking first.

  8. Aaron on 03 Dec 2011 at 7:28 am #

Bruce, thanks, that restores my faith in you. Whew! If you watch it, you’ll see how disgusting her behavior was. Again, with the disclaimer that we didn’t see what came before.

I think there may be a split in the reaction on the right between Christians and non- or anti-Christians. Christians (I’m with them, as usual) don’t seem to like it. “Pagans” and other anti-Christians tend to love it or like it or defend it or, as in this post, excuse it.

A few commentators on other sites have suggested that the whole thing was a set up designed to make white people look bad by re-enforcing a stereotype of “white racists”. Most of us have occasionally run into insult-spewing, tourette syndrome, off-their-meds harridans of all races and either sex. We usually try to avoid such people, not catch them on video or view the videos.

If the so-called epic was indeed a set-up, the provocateurs have achieved their objective beyond their wildest dreams with self-designated “WNs” and “HBD” and “race realists” rushing to embrace this raver as their Joan of Arc, sometimes favorably comparing her to last summer’s mass murderer of white people Anders Breivik. With friends like this, white people certainly don’t need any enemies.

BTW, I did not view the video. My parents taught me that it was impolite to stare at people who were deformed, acting crazy or otherwise publicly embarassing themselves. I did read the transcript of the rant, which was published on another site.

  10. Walter on 03 Dec 2011 at 2:16 pm #

    Aaron,

Nice try at trying to divide people.

    Kirt,

    You are missing the point.

Listen. For an impolite violation of the strictures of political correctness, Emma West has been jailed, declared insane, and her children taken from her.

Do you think this is just? Do you think this should happen to anyone who violates the protocols of political correctness?

    Wake up.

  11. Kirt Higdon on 03 Dec 2011 at 4:08 pm #

No, I don’t think she has been treated justly and I don’t agree with the English law, although since I am not an Englishman, it is really not much of my business. But if this is to be considered a civil liberties issue, I’d suggest we have a lot of those much closer to home, including the routine setting up and arresting of “terrorists” by all levels of law enforcement and the detention of innocent citizens and visitors simply for the crime of not carrying proper identification as recently happened in Alabama to a visiting German executive of Mercedes Benz corporation. Law just passed by the Senate gives the president power to permit military jurisdiction of any person designated a terrorist, whether US citizen or not, whether detained in the US or not. If signed into law, this effectively nullifies the bill of rights.

But many if not most on the so-called alternative right are not treating this as a civil liberties issue (that’s the fallback position) but are either calling this raver’s rant “understandable” if not heroic and are either predicting or urging more of the same on the grounds that whites should make minorities feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. There was a time when using that kind of language in front of women and children would have resulted not in arrest, but in the raver being slapped silly on the spot. Standards have changed and not for the better when such behavior is “understandable” and praised.

  12. Julian on 03 Dec 2011 at 4:34 pm #

Her behavior, while vulgar and boorish, is ‘understandable’ for the reasons expressed in this post: she is being dispossessed of her country! Of course those who support this sort of dispossession here in the US aren’t going to understand.

Aaron’s priggishness is amusing considering the ad homs he has used here, at AltRight and I’ll guess other sites.

  13. Walter on 03 Dec 2011 at 5:39 pm #

    Kirt,

You are conflating different issues. Any sane country will check peoples’ immigration status. I lived in Europe for two years and once had my immigration status checked. It’s normal. I didn’t mind.

Besides, Emma is not a foreigner. She’s someone being dispossessed from the land her ancestors have lived in for thousands of years. It’s telling that the Orwellian police state in the UK, instead of going after the invaders, is going after an ethnic Brit for complaining about the invasion.

  14. Matt Weber on 03 Dec 2011 at 7:28 pm #

I read the transcript and have to say that if this is the best we have to offer then we might as well pack up and go home. She should have been arrested, but for disturbing the peace and being flagrantly obscene, not for some nebulous hate speech nonsense. Britain probably ought to worry about the state of its white population more so than its immigrant one. Chesterton this woman ain’t.

  15. Aaron on 03 Dec 2011 at 7:59 pm #

I’m not trying to divide anybody. You all never had anything to divide anyway. I just call ‘em as I see ‘em. Though I’m apparently very powerful, because after I noted the difference in reactions between Christians and non-Christians, some Christians and (I think) non-Christians posted comments here conforming to my observation. What power I must have!

I’m sorry if I was too priggish. I try to match my discourse to the audience. AltRight is a sewer, so I comment there accordingly. This place is much better, but it can get a little rough too. I don’t think I use language any worse than that used by my interlocutors.

Hurling crude insults at innocent bystanders on a tram is something else entirely.

  16. Walter on 03 Dec 2011 at 9:15 pm #

Actually, if you look at what Emma West says, she’s not making any threats, she’s not engaging in assault. She doesn’t say, “I’m going to hurt you,” for instance. Rather, she says that (1) the people around her aren’t English and (2) she wishes they’d return to their ancestral countries.

What she said, and the manner in which she said it, one might say is rude, but it’s hardly a threat. She was merely saying in public what nearly every English person I know says in private.

And the fact that she’s white isn’t unimportant. As others have pointed out, if she were black or Indian and going on about how she can’t stand white people, nothing would have happened to her. The press would have stated, “Oh, the white racism here is so bad that it’s causing non-whites much stress.”

    MW:

I don’t think that she’s the “best we have to offer.” I doubt anyone thinks that. The question is whether (1) it’s understandable that Westerners will eventually break down while being dispossessed from their lands, and (2) whether you think she should be jailed, declared insane and have her children taken away for publicly expressing politically incorrect thoughts.

  17. Matt Weber on 03 Dec 2011 at 10:56 pm #

I don’t think anyone is arguing that she has been treated fairly. Even US liberals wouldn’t argue that. One good thing about the US is that hate speech laws like those in Britain are still untouchable to the point that no one even wants to institute them. The reaction on the right, though, is not merely the civil rights angle but also that this woman was saying something that ought to be said. I have to disagree, in practically every way.

  18. mike on 04 Dec 2011 at 3:51 am #

about time someone at least saw the light on whats happening to thier own homelands, I agree she could of done it in a more professional manner though.

  19. David Hamilton on 04 Dec 2011 at 5:02 pm #

Actually she has been IMPRISONED WITHOUT TRIAL for a political offence. She is being subjected to the kind of arbritary punishment we expect from Iran or Syria.
Contrary to a thousand years of English law, the Race Amendment Act 2000 says that anyone accused of a racial motivated act is deemed guilty until they can prove themselves innocent – something it is often very difficult to do. Punishment for those found guilty can be either a heavy fine or imprisonment for up to a vicious 7 years. For white people caught by this wicked law, imprisonment is often what they get, however I have yet to hear of any ethnic minority to get anything other than a small fine. The state persecution of those White men over the murder of Stephen Lawrence gives the clue. This is their third trial which is why Double Jeopardy was dropped – so they can keep trying people till they get he result they want.
Please pay great attention to this case because what is going to happen now is the British Soviet-style justice system will try to force the desired result which is for her to abase herself in public. it is like a Soviet show trial with the media playing a big part. This week she will be cowed and intimidated by her lawyer, Psychiatrist and nurses into apologising. What will be the threat that turns her? It will be he threat to take her child into care. This time next week she will have apologised and be publicly grovelling.

    Walter,

I’ve been stopped and had papers demanded of me by the Border Patrol on more than one occasion many miles within the border of the US. The BP even stopped Willie Nelson’s tour bus miles within the US border and busted him for (horrors) being in possession of weed. In contrast, I’ve crossed borders in Europe without having to show my ID or at worst having it barely glanced at. The same is mostly true of Mexico and other Latin American countries I’ve visited. The big exception is Brazil, which practices reci pro city; i.e. they make it a point to give US citizens crossing their border as much hassle as the US gives Brazilian nationals entering or leaving the US.

PS. Apparently the reason I’ve been unable to post this is that the filtering software does not approve of the word reci pro city, so I’ve had to break it into syllables.

Emma’s response was a crude but primal one.
What else have we been left with?
Our governments no longer represent us; they are facilitating our
dispossession. The media promotes it. Academia cheers it on.

What have we been left with except rare (and in cases like this dangerous) opportunities to rant?

There is virtually no resistance to our engulfment.

Emma looked into the face of the child sitting on her lap and was suddenly overcome with rage and contempt. Because getting on that train was visual confirmation her child no longer has a future.

One Emma, however crude and whatever her sins, is worth a thousand intellectuals who understand what we are facing and do nothing.

    The cruder the better.

A Ferocious fishwife like that is worth 50 Eton oldboys and 100 Oxford graduates.

That “Feral” lady was basically voicing something similar.

A 100,000 bps education drops to a five rupee on the frontier of modern London.

    Good on Emma.

This video contains transcript corrections to some of the Emma West “transcripts” that are floating around on the net containing errors and words that are not actually there. The actually correct transcript is more interesting than the incorrect ones:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT-8La2GpaM

If there is interest here I will post my full version of the transcript after doing a great deal of work with the audio and video.
