As Iraq slides into chaos and civil war, thanks to the destabilizing Bush invasion, spokesghouls for the war industry are itching for yet another romp through the Middle Eastern minefield. In a letter published in The Weekly Standard (of course!), Elliott Abrams, Max Boot, Douglas J. Feith, Robert Kagan, and, of course, William Kristol, demand Obama use his imperial authority to launch a new war we can’t afford in a region of the world where we shouldn’t be messing.
In other words, the same gaggle of draft dodgers and war speculators that lied us into Iraq want us to mire ourselves in Syria. America needs to lay off that Kristol Meth.

I find it amusing that you cherry-picked the Jews, as if Tom Donnelly, Khairi Abaza, Ammar Abdulhamid, Hussain Abdul-Hussain et all don’t exist.
Kristol did not actual dodge the draft and his son, Lt. Joseph Kristol is a marine platoon commander in Afghanistan. I guess, he’s safe from redeployment to Syria. Michael Ledeen’s son Lt. Daniel, is not.
I happen to think that a civil war between the Iranian-backed Alawite-dominated Ba’athist regime and the Muslim Brotherhood is a good thing and that we gain nothing by intervening. Giving Damascus, seat of two Caliphates, to the Muslim Brotherhood is a bad move. And Sunni-Shia (Alawites are a heretical Shi’ite sect) violence in Syria has turned the AKP-run Turkish Republic and Arabs against Iran. Who knows, the Sunnis might take out Iran’s nuclear program.

RonL,
The names I mentioned were simply the most well-known. I’ve never before heard of Donnelly or Abaza.
Merry Christmas.
