Andrew Bacevich sets the record straight as he always does.

Can you imagine a Ron Paul administration witn Bacevich and William Lind in charge of the Pentagon? People who make sense actually running things? Ohhh, the rapture!

A Ron Paul administration would gut this country’s obscene military-industrial complex, and re-focus on defense. Instead of dumping “bricks” of cash into insane nation-building projects (such as, oh, for example, Iraq http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article720217.ece) we’d put our tax dollars and armed forces to work doing what they were supposed to, such as guarding our porous border with Mexico.

So there’d be no Pentagon to run. Let’s turn it into a five-sided mall.
