Have you noticed that as DC assumes more power, and as the country becomes more diverse, individual security and liberty have faded?

That’s not just a correlation, that’s cause and effect.

Voluntary, representative government cannot exist without shared cultural bonds. Conversely, the more atomized the population, the more need for a powerful government to keep order. Our handlers in DC know that well. That’s why they’re SO excited about Third-World immigration. The more immigrants they import, the more demand they create for even more government intervention at home and abroad. It’s a vicious but VERY lucrative cycle for the military-industrial-congressional complex: greater levels of immigration create more clients for the welfare state, and more cannon fodder for the warfare state.

One of the provisions of the DREAM ACT allows illegal immigrants to win citizenship by serving in the military. (Who better to “defend the Constitution” than someone who has openly scoffed at our laws?) That’s why “conservative” Newt Gingrich supports the DREAM ACT.

But that’s not all. Opening the doors to Third-World colonization creates countless little lobbying groups for military action all over the world. Yesterday in Charlotte, Syrian immigrants demanded US intervention in their home country:

More than 100 protesters spent Sunday chanting slogans and holding Syrian flags in uptown Charlotte as they railed against the Syrian government, which has been accused of killing its own people, and international peacekeeping organizations the protesters say aren’t taking a stand.

Women wore white hijabs, and dozens of people held signs that read “Free Syria” or “Long Live Freedom.” At one point, two 15-passenger vans pulled up outside of the Bank of America building, and more chanting protesters streamed out.

Halliburton, Lockheed Martin, and all the other politically connected “defense” industries need war. Problem is, as Iraq and Afghanistan sink into anarchy, there are no plausible “threats” to justify more military action.

Since self-defense isn’t an issue, we have to be persuaded it’s time to spread more democracy. And here’s John McCain leading the charge. Yes, a vast majority of Americans oppose getting involved in yet another war of choice, but since when does OUR voice count?

You don’t want war with Syria? What are you, anti-immigrant?

And the music goes ’round and ’round …

Is that some kind of joke? Iran is, or will be a threat. But they can do us harm. North Korea is a regional threat, but can do us harm. China is a threat but can nuke half the country.
The Obama administration and others want cheap easy wars to help the Muslim Brotherhood. But they are not acting for US interests or to by new weapons. We are cutting procurement. For instance, the last F-22 just came off the assembly line. Meanwhile China, Russia and India (co-development of Russia and India) are going to field fifth generation fighters this decade.

    RonL,

Oh, please. Iran’s military is a joke. They don’t have nuclear weapons, nor a delivery system (except maybe FedEx).

Remember the lies that got us into Iraq? It’s the same crowd lying us into Iran (and Syria, and Somalia, and Yemen, etc).

I know that Fedex will use cargo planes. I didn’t know that they use container ships or Hizbollah as middlemen. And I didn’t know that Fedex was building missile sites in Venezuela http://www.laprensa.com.ni/2011/05/19/internacionales/60944

We get that RonL is scared of everything, but what he never mentions is that not one of the liars involved in the Iraq War were punished for their crimes.

They didn’t even orchestrate a low level, say Doug Feith, disgrace–who forged the Nigerian Uranium documents is known, but who moved those documents into the US talking points remains un-investigated. RonL will mention Scooter Libby, the sick man who wrote a novel involving bestiality–but that was a turf war, an inside baseball issue that the polis never understood.

If, as RonL suggests, ‘they’ were super patriots, surely the clique he defends would have had a martyr like Chalabi, who said to some effect,’we lied for a good cause.’

Cowards and hacks, discrediting all analysis towards national security until they purge themselves–if they really cared about this country.

Guess we better drone bomb all container ships and nuke Venezuela.

    RonL,

“The United States and Venezuela don’t agree on many foreign policy issues, but both countries say a newspaper report claiming that Iran is building a missile base in the South American nation is not credible.”

    That’s from a CNN story:

    http://articles.cnn.com/2011-05-21/world/venezuela.iran.missiles_1_missile-base-report-bolivarian-revolution?_s=PM:WORLD

But reports of Martians landing in New Jersey ARE real, so you should panic now and avoid the rush.
