Democrats Strive for Third World Super-Party

Ann Coulter, Syndicated Op-Ed, July 18, 2012

Before taking the oath of office, Barack Obama vowed to fundamentally transform the United States. He has certainly done so. For example, Obama has:

– destroyed the job market;

– sent billions of taxpayer dollars to Wall Street, companies overseas, his campaign contributors and public sector unions;

– forced the passage of a wildly unpopular national health care law on a purely partisan vote;

– come out for gay marriage;

– refused to enforce laws on illegal immigration;

– eliminated the work requirement for welfare.

How can a country that elected Ronald Reagan have Obama tied in the polls with Mitt Romney?

The answer is: It’s not the same country.

Similarly, when two successful, attractive multimillionaire women in California can’t beat a geriatric leftist like Jerry Brown or an old prune like Barbara Boxer, that’s not the same state that elected Ronald Reagan twice, either.

The same process that has already destroyed California is working its way through the entire country.

While conservatives have been formulating carefully constructed arguments, liberals have been playing a long-term game to change the demographics of America to get an electorate more to their liking.

They will do incalculable damage to the nation and to individual citizens, but Democrats will have an unbeatable majority. Just like California, the United States is on its way to becoming a Third World, one-party state.

    As long as we in the USA are devoted to this stupid notion of equality which gives everyone the right to vote regardless of their being informed or responsible we are doomed. I wonder if egalitarians like Harry Jaffa have figured this out yet?

    Agree with Dave K….

    Maybe people like Ann Coulter, who have gone on record to bash the South and praise Lincoln, will soon begin to realize that maybe those evil “racist” Southerners weren’t so wacky after all.

    I’ve heard these predictions of the one party Democratic state since I was a little kid and I have my doubts. The Reps and Demos split the 20th Century presidency almost evenly, 52-48 years, with the Demos doing best in the first half of the century when the electorate was a lot whiter than it is now. The 21st Century so far is the Reps 8 years and the Demos 4. And why should the oligarchy which runs this country give up the duopoly system which has served them so well? The Rep and Demo politicos all serve the system and the sheeple can always be persuaded to vote once more for “the lesser evil”. One party governments are eventually held accountable – by ballot or bullet. Two establishment party governments seem to go on forever.

    Kirt, they may continue the two party facade, but the Republican Party that remains will not be the party it is today, and that is conceding that the one we have today is already sorry from a conservative standpoint.

    And when was the Republican party ever really other than sorry? This is the party of Lincoln, remember? Harding and Coolidge were sort of OK. Reagan looked better at the time than he looks in retrospect. George Wallace had it right with “not a dime’s worth of difference” and a dime was hardly worth anything then, let alone now.

    Ann has her moments. Unfortunately, she most often seems to be a proponent of North Eastern Liberal Republicans.

    I would love it if she, in one of her scathing articles, dumps support for Romney and goes over to a third party.

    Regards,

    [...] While we have had our differences with Coulter on some things, she has always beenĀ fearless on immigration. [...]
