Mayor Bloomberg Should Just Shut Up

Posted under Second Amendment

Is there a bigger blowhard on the planet than Michael Bloomberg? I doubt it. First he wants to ban large Cokes. Now he isĀ calling for more gun control in the wake of the Colorado shooting. This was as predictable as the Sun rising in the East. Surely everyone in NYC is not that much of a busy body. Why do they keep electing this clown? Bloomberg needs to just shut up.

I would bet the august residents of NYC think he makes the trains run on time.

I don’t see how he has time to make the trains run on time. He’s too busy meddling.

Mayor Bloomberg has no authority other the MTA. The trains and buses do not run on time. And the residents of Manhattan are quite fed up with the disruptions caused by the construction of the MTA. King Michael the Short and the City Council have seen fit to make things worse, but creating bike lanes, which snarl productive traffic in general, and more so during the construction which they have scheduled to to overlap the Second Avenue subway. Not content with turning the east side into a parking lot, Bloomberg and gang have seen fit to shut down large part of Broadway and convert what had been the main thoroughfare of the city from the time of the Dutch (if not the Lanape) into a pedestrian mall, to make us more like Paris.

I was hoping RonL would comment on this.

Does the average guy on the street in NYC think to themselves “Hey, that sounds like a good idea.” when they hear about Bloomberg wanting to ban large soft drinks? I can’t see it. It was treated as a laughable joke around here.

It is for these reasons, and a few others, that I hope I never have occasion to ever visit NYC again.

I was being facetious in my first comment. The voters in NYC might have their reasons for voting for Nanny Bloomberg – but I doubt it. I think they are just lazy and are too jaded to wish a change.
