I’m shocked. The Southern (sic) Poverty (sic) Law (sic) Center for Scaring Old Ladies and Fleecing Them Out of Their Money While Advancing Cultural Marxism has a new write-up on Michael Hill, President of the League of the South.

I sent my good friend Dr Hill an e-mail congratulating him and asked if he’d be so kind as to print the SPLC’s screed and autograph it for me.

The SPLC hit piece includes this accusation against Hill: “White people, he wrote, are endowed with a “God-ordained superiority.”
Here’s what Dr. Hill actually wrote:
“Today, the descendants of those European-American whites behave as a shamed and defeated people.Not only do they refuse to proclaim the God-ordained superiority of their own civilization and its venerable institutions; they also refuse to defend the very ethnic and racial particularities that gave form and definition to that civilization.”
Not the same thing!

The sad irony of the Southern Independence Movement as of 2012 is the fact the only parts of the South where one could create a nation of true Southern identity and culture are in the very places where there wasn’t a lot of support for independence to begin with during the War Between the State.
