Trump has a history of over hyping things. I hope he has learned his lesson. If this turns out to be a big nothing burger, then people are going to be ticked. Since he knows he has set expectations so high, I’m mildly hopeful that there will be some there there.
If it is divorce papers, some have jumped to the conclusion that divorce is imminent and find this not likely. I would agree. But my first thought was that these were old divorce papers. That the First Couple was near divorce in the past has been widely rumored.

Yeah, this is right on a par with Gloria Allred unearthing some woman whom Romney tried to talk out of having an abortion. I guess in the bi-partisan duopoly, each party is entitled to one obnoxious exhibitionist who regularly comes up with irrelevant bomb-shells.

As Liz Smith one said about Trump “If he ever ran for President it would be on the Bullsh*t Party ticket.” ODS had sadly tarnished his image.

Perhaps you could wait until the announcement before you pooh pooh it.

Old divorce papers would be a non-issue, aside from a few things (like claims that O was abusive or a homosexual)

Well said, Matt.

Well, it turns out it isn’t divorce papers and is just another Trump stunt. I’ll post a link when I’m at a different computer.
But I agree with Matt that had it been divorce papers that alone wouldn’t have been that big of a deal barring some scandalous accusations, except for the fact that it would bolster the Obama narrative skeptics’ case that there is more to the Obama story. Obama has previously denied the near divorce allegation so that would be shown to be a lie.

Knowing the person involved I didn’t have to wait for anything.
