No kidding. This is not a joke. What a bunch of goose-steppers. Completely intolerant of dissent on the War. Don’t they realize that this makes them look like pathetic little caricatures of themselves.
Vee will not tolerate dissent. (Spoken with heavy German accent.)

There’s obviously a lot of house cleaning that’s going to have to happen. They can nominate a paleocon now or they can wait for the purge. Either way, the party needs to be rebranded. I don’t see a place at the table for these yahoos.

This does not surprise me. Then again, remember that there was a mini-scandal last year — the Washington Post was about to bring in Crud State’s Ben Domenench, and they reversed themselves when they found out he was a stone cold plagiarist.
Also of reprehensible note is John Chicken Hawkins, of Blight Wing Snooze.
I’m about ready to dump Crud State and Bight Wing News from my blogrolls and my RSS reader.

In other words they are responding to blog spammers by saying that only those who have been on Redstate for 6 months can talk incessently about Ron Paul.
Some censorship.

It would appear to most that the Redstate site fears Ron Paul due to his true constitutional conservative message. I , on the other hand would never even consider joining such a biased bunch of fearmongers and I am from the land of dixie and a republican of over 30 yrs. Just goes to show you that not all citizens from the Redstates are uneducated idiots.

Figures… a bunch of so called Republicans acting like Democrats! Is there really a dimes difference anymore? The Big Gov’t neocons at RS are nothing more then a pack of pussies, guy’s you’d pick last in pick up games on the play ground, guy’s who couldn’t get a date and the closest time they ever came to pussy was a date with there hand. I’ll remember this when I get donation letters from the RNC. REALLY!

Joe,
I share your anger, and I can look at the paleos and often see more manly, well-rounded members.
However, I think we ought to uphold Christian values and respect Victorian taboos. I don’t want to promote the idea among impressionable youths that getting laid or cursing is cool. More honor is granted to those who resist until married because sleeping around promotes STDs, bastards, abortions, and unwanted marriages between those who wouldn’t otherwise wish to marry.

Ron, there is a general understanding of what the term spam means. Having a lot of enthusiastic supporters who are willing to support and defend you is not spam. The enthusiasm of Paul’s supporters is the envy of the other candidates. Don’t you think they would all be doing the same thing if they could?

Does anyone accept the challenge? Earn the right to promote Ron Paul by November!

Pathetic. We now have commisars within the Conservative movement to tell us who is acceptable and who is not. Forget the Nazi analogies. This stone cold communist party style enforcement. “Red State” indeed!

RonL,
Get your Hannity out of my Freedom.

Weaver,
You are correct. Technically, it is not spam-blogging. However I’ve been to many fora destroyed by vitriolic attacks by single interest activists hijaaking threads and denouncing older members.
I’ve seen it happen at FreeRepublic, LibertyForum (now Nazi) and LibertyPost.
I have nothing against rational discourse, but if the reactions of “Andrew T” here are an indication, then I deffer to the management of Redstate.
I’ve dealt with delusional Paulites who think that theirs is the ONLY interpretation of the Constitution (as if Hamilton, Adams, Madison, and Jefferson were in perfect agreement?). I’ve gone to debates co-sponsered by RP meetups where they shouted down the audio of other candidates and then proceeded to lie about Congressman Paul’s positions on immigration. (Half of them were left-libertarians and the others were paleos who failed to understand that Paul has no problem with making immigration easier)
Andrew T,
I am not and never have been a fan of Sean Hannity. Although I will see him at my alma mater, Columbia, on Friday.
Hannity support Giulliani. He has never given Hunter or Tancredo a shot. He agrees with them on more issues but calls them irrelevant.
ABC and Fox both are invested in China. They like Rudy, Fred, and Hillary. I don’t.

“Redstate” transitioned to a more “Activist” agenda earlier this year, and came under the gun by some other sites. I had visited “Human Events” for years, and looking at what was happening at RedState. Even Human Events and others are starting to “purge” the ranks with cookies and format changes. Neither, have the more diversified conservative thought that was once there in my opinion.

Ron Paul doesn’t need RedState even a fraction as much as RedState (and the Republican Party in general) needs Ron Paul.
Pro-Iraq War Republicans need to wake up. This Party is fractioning thanks to their tactics to marginalize those who disagree about the Iraq War! RedState may not like it, but the Republican Party needs Ron Paul supporters youth, idealism and enthusiasm. And they better try to reach out to them, or else the party that used to be a coalition of social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, supply-siders, and military hawks will soon be nothing but rich old white men under the rule of socialists.
It appears that the whole Republican party has left almost every principle they ever stood for. I can’t tell a bit of difference between Rudy and Hillary yet I’m supposed to feel bad that RedState’s blog forums are deluged by people supporting Ron Paul? The current situation is the Republican Party’s own fault, not the fault of caring people who want to see things go back the way we were promised it would be in 1980, 1988, 1994, 2000, and 2004.

Ron,
for what it’s worth I can sympathise with the desire to defend one’s site and loyal virtual community.
I also don’t like it when posters stray off topic on an important and interesting topic. It would drive me nuts to have outsiders advertising Hilary Clinton under each post.
I’m not gonna try to say Red State is right or wrong, this is a grey area, but it is up to the site’s owners to set the rules which others ought to abide by.
And I say it’s a grey area because a clear positive solution would be to require registration and for new comers to be recommended by others. However, doing such would strongly discourage new comers and thus undermine the popularity of the site.
I think Ron Paul would be an excellent President though.

Valerie,
If a RINO wins the primary, join the Constitution Party and help build something good from the ground up.
Valerie on 25 Oct 2007 at 2:42 pm #
Weaver,
I am tired of the Republican party making fun of me (my candidate is ‘crazy’)and calling me a liberal (for not being pro-war) and then expecting me to give them my vote. I’ll probably have no choice but to leave the Party if RP doesn’t win, but most likely I’ll go wherever he goes.
