Jim DeMint Leaving Senate, Going to Heritage Foundation

I’m not sure what to make of this. While DeMint is wrong on interventionism (Aren’t they all?), his instincts otherwise seem to me better than average for a “conservative” Senator. This strikes me as a net plus for Heritage and a net loss for the Senate. A lot depends on who Gov. Nikki Haley appoints to take his place. Tom Davis has been suggested as a good choice
