Tancredo, hoping to be elected on the “Hispanics, Hey, Let’s Round Them Up and Kill Them” platform, has been seeing his worst nightmares become reality recently. ~ William K Wolfrum
I never knew that a golf magazine could be so politically correct. Given that the tops of golfing caps are cut out, it seems that one’s brain should not bake, but what then is William K Wolfrum’s excuse? Inherited stupidity? A religious desire to spread PC propaganda, even if it means spreading disinformation?

Hey, William Wolfdum, Tancredo has NO problem with the PGA going to Mexico. His hope is that the PGA takes around 30 million illegal aliens peasants back Mexico–get it, take the illegal aliens back to Mexico and they can have the PGA for a tournament or two!

That’s great. You must be a journalism major.
“A religious desire”
“fanatical desire” might be better here. I’m not sure the average reader would follow that belief in an ideology is like faith in a religion.

[...] As for Tancredo, well he’s just a one-issue loon, who can’t seem to make his point on that one issue – illegal immigration – without sounding like a genocidal maniac. [...]

Goldwater’s failed candidacy helped build a movement for Reagan.
What issue could be more important than immigration?

I doubt you’re willing to debate Tancredo, so I’ll cut my defense short with this:
Voting Record
American Conservative Union A+
National Right to Life Committee A
National Rifle Association A
Family Research Council A
National Taxpayers Union A
Americans for Better Immigration A+
National Federation of Independent Business A+
Clearly, he’s well rounded and principled.

Guiliani isn’t even a one issue candidate; his “issue” is post 9/11 fame.
Romney is a one issue candidate: health care.
McCain’s issue is the war.

Oh… you posted that.
Here’s my post at Wolfrum’s site (I doubt it’ll be accepted…):

“Tancredo wanted to deport the family of an undocumented high school boy who was profiled in The Denver Post for his perfect grades”
It’s difficult to say no to a foreign child, but America cannot allow in everyone. “Illegal” means that the child was not American. It’s unfair to say yes to those who managed to break in and no to others. There are starving A students throughout the world who cannot get in.
Tancredo has not called for the deportation of any legal citizens, regardless of race. He’s not hateful in the least; you have been misguided. Rolling Stone is not a source I would look to for guidance.
This is how I view the border crisis:
Big business (mostly agriculture) wants to swamp America with cheap labor despite the economic and environmental destruction it wreaks on our home nation. CEOs vying for golden parachutes seek to maximize profits by bringing cheap labor into the country; Tancredo is one of the strongest voices standing up for the average American against big business.
I don’t like Tancredo’s support of the war, and I wish he’d stand strong against the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act of 2006, but he’s very good on immigration, spending, and social issues.
Al Gore’s record on immigration is as sound as Tancredo’s; I guess after inventing the Internet, no one can call Gore a “maniac” as you have Tancredo.
Ron Paul is also sound on immigration; he’s no ordinary libertarian.

Clearly, he’s well rounded and principled. If immigration was less of a threat, I suspect he’d be more outspoken about other issues such as the war, corruption, spending and trade deficits, etc. His success with defending our borders has proven him to be an incredible statesman.

The idea that Tancredo is a one issue candidate is absurd. This is the same tactic Randy Graf’s opponents used to defeat him in Arizona’s eighth district.
The problem here is that illegal immigration is an issue that touches every other issue. Almost everything you can talk about, even the war, touches the immigration issue in some way.
I have met and talked with Tom Tancredo on more than one occasion. We discussed illegal immigration a some length, but we also talked of several other issues, including the merits of keeping, and even expanding the tax cuts, the war on terror, transportation, social services and more. Each and every time, somehow, illegal immigration popped up as this had a very real effect on whatever we were talking about.

While that ["almost everything ... touches the immigration issue"]‘s true, you don’t want to come across as a fanatic.
Not to say that Tancredo does come across as such, but I just figured I’d add that…
