Good front page article on VDARE.com on how immigration to California, upping its population from 16 million in 1960 to 37 million today, has caused the population patterns to shift from the Pacific coast to chappral covered hills that go up like a torch when the weather is dry and Santa Anna winds are blowing.

Don’t the environmentalists. i.e the Sierra crowd have a clue what happens when controlled burns and fire-breaks are removed ??
I’ll bet they figure out they need to do something.

Some of them do though; aren’t they still split on whether the environment or demographic transformation is more important?

Nature.org (Nature Conservancy) is a far better organisation. It’s not ideal, but it’s more truly concerned with the environment: crack a member open, and he’s green inside, not red.
