Italy: Grillo deals with his Senators using the secret ballot to betray the assured discipline.
Cyprus: a bank run follows demands for a 10% tax on balances. ATMs run dry, really brilliantly played by elites who do not understand modern communication. (Of course, maybe they do and this is a warning to other countries – looking at you Italy? We’ll find out shortly…)
Germany: Cyprus--tax your depositors. And troubles with Salafism.
France: Hollande drops below Le Pen in the polls.
Greece: a soccer story.
Portugal—bought some more time.
Greater Celtia: St. Patrick’s day drinking.
US—Sid “Vicious” has his AOL account hacked, thousands of emails, mostly involving Hillary, downloaded. Media reports the hacker, named Guccifer, also connected to the defacing of Colin Powell’s facebook et al, and the Bush family internet account, amongst others; alleged to subscribe to theories about the Federal Reserve, the Illuminati, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Bohemian Grove sorts.
Apparently, the elite’s frontmen have AOL accounts; it’s always 1997 to these people.

When I first saw Sid Vicious mentioned I thought this was going to be a wrestling thread.

That was of course, a calculated hook, though it was Mr. Blumenthal’s nickname when it was relevant back in the 1990s.
BTW, Dave Weigel had a wrestling story in Slate, end of last month that is relevant, in its own way:
