Sen. Lott should forever live in infamy among conservatives for his craven, groveling apology to the PC thought police after his off-handed remark about Strom Thurmond.

   Lott made the mistake of apologizing when he should have stood firm. Issuing an apology to these folks is like throwing blood in the water with sharks. He deserved exactly what he got–shame. I’m glad he’s gone. Just hope others in the South learn from his mistakes.

   Lott’s immigration votes have been as embarassing as the votes of Lindsey Graham…..He has been chasing the scepter of political correctness untill he could no longer hear the voices of the fine citizens of Mississippi! As the hordes of illegals converged on the coastal areas of the Mississippi coast to work construction jobs created by “Katrina”, his constituents realized that the Lott/McCain vission for America is a nightmare!……………………Lott is toast.

    roho is right–Lott and his toupe had worn out their welcome mat! His downfall wasn’t in offending blacks; his downfall was in backing the Senate Amnesty this year that went down in a blazing defeat.
