Reason No. 2388 as to why Huckabee is wrong for GOP

Apparently Huckabee belives that law establishes morality.

In other words, speeding is immoral. Remember to go to confession the next time you get a ticket.

Huckabee is what I like to call a “right-wing progressive”.

True or better yet a right-wing social democrat.

The “Huckster” was brought into politics by the Clintons through an introduction to Joycelyn Elders. His “Second Chance Doctrine” is clearly a civil rights movement for millions of illegal alliens as he carries the torch of LBJ while riding an elephant into the confusion of American Politics!

    Hat tip: CofCC.

Reason 2389, “Huckabee called for in-state tuition and scholarship money for illegals.”

Paul said to the Romans to pay your taxes and obey the law-of-the-land, lest you’re penalized accordingly. Hence, “speeding” is a violation of the law-of-the-land or a “sin”, of which, the perpetrator is forgiven by his Lord and Savior.

And thus the reason most all of we Christians have a propensity to do 75 in a 65; ‘Cause we’re constantly forgiven for driving infractions!

One must recognize that Huckabee IS a social conservative, that is, is pro-life and anti- gay marriage, pro-family, and so forth. Thus, he would not fit into the Democrat lineup as it now stands. There was once a time when a Democrat could easily be a social conservative, and many were so. But not now.

Bob Novak wrote an article condemning Huckabee as a “liberal”–even though Huckabee DID balance Arkansas’ budget, which I consider a good conservative action.
But Novak went on to smear Huckabee as corrupt, in a typical Novak nasty and (to me) unbelievable way. And some of this Novak smear was believed by a few evangelical Christians, who spread it around. A large percentage of conservative evangelicals do not accept the smear as worthy, and are thus supporting Huckabee. Their other top contender is Ron Paul, statistically.

    Where did Huckabee say this?

Doesn’t the Bible tell us to obey the laws of the land? If so, it would be disobeying God to dispbey the civil government He has ordained (assuming of course that this civil law does not contradict God’s law – which speed limits would not)
