Here is a blurb that accompanied the e-mail.
We were peaceably assembled on New Years Day, riding the San Francisco Cable Car from Fisherman’s Wharf to Union Square downtown carrying Ron Paul signs, when the SFPD was called, and the “officer” told us to hand over our signs, or we wouldn’t go anywhere. We asked what law we were violating, and he said he didn’t have to tell us, “I am the Law”, he said.
San Francisco’s Channel 5 ran a segment on the 11 pm news.
If you ask what law you are allegedly violating is there no requirement for the police officer to tell you? Does the cop really not have to answer? “I am the Law.” What a bunch of BS that is. A person is not the law. If this is true, that “cop” should lose his badge. Perhaps they were violating some ordinance about not hanging out the window with signs or something like that. Who knows? If so, tell them. “Do it because I said so” just doesn’t cut it.

LewRockwell.com is going to have fun with this…
You got this e-mailed to you directly from Virginia Abernethy? I’m not too familiar with her work, but I am aware that she takes her positions on immigration and ethnicity to pretty questionable extremes.

Virginia Abernathy is an extremist? That’s not the point, is it? The point is, one guy who is obviously not in favor of Ron Paul stalks the tram, badgers the cops to respond to his complaint, a single cop then unilaterally undermines protected 1st Ammendment rights and arrogantly refuses to even try to base his decision on laws or ordinances. But then, it IS San Francisco. San Francisco, the place where you can have gay parades with men undressed doing (or pretending to do) virtually nude sex acts in front of children, but you can’t display Ron Paul signs from a public tram.

Looks like the cop gave up from the look of the pictures. There’s a lot worse things to be worried about than a cop giving some lip and then giving up.
Lets worry about getting Ron Paul elected and ending this police state, then cops will change their attitudes.

Andrew, Virginia Abernethy has an e-mail list and sends out A LOT of e-mails. I honestly don’t even know how I got on her list. I don’t know here views all that well. I know the SPLC doesn’t like her, so that is more than likely an endorsement in my book.
I think she is pro-abortion. If so, that is objectionable. I also thinks she leans toward the nationalist side. Again, that is just my impression. I don’t know for sure.
She signed the Academics for Ron Paul statement so they obviously didn’t think she was toxic.

Filmer,
Well, as far as I know she bases her paleoconservatism on highly naturalistic (Lovecraftian, even?) premises. She appears highly alibertarian (being nearly alone in calling for a total moratorium on all immigration).

I’d love to see a total moratorium on immigration; failing that at least a little sanity on the issue.

I have no idea who this “Virginia Lady” is, but can’t help but laugh at the wacko-weird-leftist of San Francisco that can’t understand that “A RETURN TO STATES RIGHTS ALLOWS CALIFORNIA TO MARRY THEIR DOG IF THEY WANT TO!”…………………………What Idiots!………I live in the “Bible Belt” of Dixie, and dream of the day that we can return to the culture of our ancesters, and still defend California’s right to go to Hell!…….It’s their State!………….I don’t care what they do, as long as we can get WASHINGTON out of our business!…………….But, I know that my position is very UN-NATIONALISTIC, and weird to the politicaly correct majority.

“I AM THE LAW”. Sylvester Stallone should sue this cop for copyright infringement. This was a line used in a 1995 Stallone movie; “Judge Dredd”. Too many steroids, officer?

Virginia Abernethy is a national treasure, and would be recognized as such by a healthy nation. Her theories on fertility and polulations contribute greatly to our understanding of such subjects.
