Posted under Election 2008 & NeoCons & Ron Paul
Well it’s not exactly an endorsement, but it is a kind word. At least one neocon has enough sense to recognize the real conservative in this race.
THE ONLY ONE BEHAVING LIKE A REAL REPUBLICAN IS RON PAUL, WHO ACTUALLY WANTS TO CUT SPENDING AND GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR LIVES. HE WON’T WIN THE NOMINATION BECAUSE TOO MANY REPUBLICANS ARE INTO HANDOUTS AND REDISTRIBUTION, JUST LIKE DEMOCRATS.
Read it and weep Dr. Douglass (a.k.a. Americaneocon). One of your neocon boys is breaking ranks from the demonize Ron Paul at every opportunity smearbund. You need to kick him out of the club. We all know that conformity is essential to stay in the good graces of the Elite.
Hat tip to Andrew T. and csason.

There is a cure for NEOCONSERVATISM that is as effective as DDT on mosquitos.
Put conscription(THE DRAFT)back into place with a mandatory 2 years like the IDF, with absolutely NO college defferment(Including Yale and Harvard), and watch the neocons scramble away from neoconservatism!
What drives the Elitist Overeducated Jacobin Neocons, is absolute confidence that they will ALWAYS experience war from a thinktank!

The news is reporting that from exit polling, Ron Paul is predicted to finish 2nd in Nevada.

Maybe I misunderstood because I haven’t heard anyone mention it since I first heard.
But Paul right now is 3rd very close to 2nd in Nevada.
Filmer on 19 Jan 2008 at 8:18 pm #
roho, if we bring back the draft I propose a few modifications. If you are pro-intervention your name goes in the pot three – four – maybe five times with no deferments. If you support non-intervention your name goes in the pot only once with deferments allowed.
For people who self-identify as neocons , their names or the names of their sons goes in the pot 20 times. I have no idea why they would object to this. It’s all about that American Power, don’t you know.
If you are a Senator or Representative and vote for intervention, the names of your sons go in the pot fifty times.
If you work for a defense contractor, maybe 30 times.
If you work for a Neocon Think Tank 100 or 200 times.
If you have a neoconservative blog maybe 75 times.
What do you think?

Cal Thomas, is an enlightened individual, who is a great patriot.
Ron Paul needs to grab Duncan Hunter as his running mate.
Then the pacifist will have a solid war president credential.
All of us conservatives have a little Neocon in our blood.
These are plain words–not Nostradamus babble.
Lindy's Revenge on 20 Jan 2008 at 9:35 pm #
Cal Thomas is a not a real neocon but a movement conservative whose evangelical faith leads him to extreme Israeli sympathies that unfortunately lead him to support neoconservative policies. That is a serious problem in the conservative movement of which Mr. Thomas is a fine example, not a bad guy but rather a sheep who mistakes wolves for shepards.

Forgive my misspelling of “shepherds” (that was one of those word I always had trouble with) but you get my point. I would also agree that “All of us conservatives have a little Neocon in our blood.” This is true, because neoconservatism merely cobbles together the worst vices that lurk beneath the surface of American politics (liberal and conservative) to begin with, while taking them out of their more virtuous contexts. It is time we begin to recognize that.

Lindy’s Revenge,
Actually, I’d say the Neocons go a bit further than simply stealing the statist elements of the liberal and conservative ideologies. It’s more like Fascist and Communist, as I half-joked in this article:

Thor,
Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter have severe disagreements in the area of foreign policy; more simply put, Hunter’s foreign policy is generally that of neoconservatism, and Paul’s isn’t. Walter Williams or Chuck Baldwin would be much better choices for Paul’s running mate.

Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter..
Wow..
That would be like Segovia and Angus Young in concert.
