Transcript: President Bush Meets with Troops in Fort Carson, Colorado
November, 2003

Terrorists need places to hide, to plot, and to train, so we’re holding their allies, the allies of terror to account. (Applause.) Working with a fine coalition, our military went to Afghanistan, destroyed the training camps of al Qaeda, and put the Taliban out of business forever. (Applause.)

Transcript: Bush’s State of the Union
January, 2008

“ …we are adding 3,200 Marines to our forces in Afghanistan, where they will fight the terrorists and train the Afghan Army and police. (Applause) Defeating the Taliban and al-Qaida is critical to our security, and I thank the Congress for supporting America’s vital mission in Afghanistan. (Applause)

The only consistent thing here is the continuing applause.

    In all honesty, GWB has lost so much credability with me that I chose “Sleep” over his final address……………And have no guilt for my decission.
