Nader Will Not Run as a Green

This surprises me. Does he not think he can beat Cynthia McKinney?

I can’t decide which is better from my opening up the process standpoint. Two far left candidates, one Green (McKinney) and one independent (Nader), or one united far left. Is the far left and far right a rather fixed quantity that have to be competed for, or do more candidates increase the potential number of converts? I think probably some of both. Thoughts?

Let’s not bother ourselves with nuisances like this.

I have accepted the reality that I will be following Ron Paul into the jaws of defeat. It’s irrelevant in a long and determined struggle. I’m excited about the millions of young and idealistic citizens that have been awakened by Dr. Paul’s Revolution!…They will persist, and eventually overcome Leviathan in time. This young writer is one of many that make me realize how hungry the youth are for the Nation our Founding Father’s provided.

    Roho,

You mean the looting parasite, Chrisopher Westley, who works for the government at Jacksonville State University?

If he’s the typical example of the “young and idealistic citizens that have been awakened by Dr. Paul’s Revolution!”, then good luck.

Andrew, Lew Rockwell wrote in his blog today that he will be pulling for Nader. I won’t because he is pro-choice, but I would rather Nader win than Obama.

Dan Phillips writes :”Is the far left and far right a rather fixed quantity”

Since what was considered far left in 1940 is considered moderately right today, it’s not fixed quantitatively in regard politics. Nor is it fixed quantitatively in regard to numbers who have been inculcated into the left and away from traditional western thought and civilization since the US is virtually a paradise of Enlightenment materialism.

Or are you asking if the hedonists and the remnant are a rather fixed quantity?

    love the girls,

You’re got it somewhat incorrect here. The far left in the 1940′s was the Communist party. Period.

Period?? Not the underlying ‘intelligentsia’ who likewise promoted Socialism in general, positive eugenics, and the like? Well perhaps you’re correct. Let them be simply 1940′s leftist, if you will.

Nader’s burned his bridges with the Greens, they’ve both turned their backs on each other. It would be a lot easier for Nader to get on the ballot on all 50 states as the Green candidate and I think he could beat McKinney, but he’d rather play Don Quiotxe at this stage of his career than do anything seriously. There’s been a mutual parting of the ways.
