California Activist Court attempts to Ban Homeschooling

Posted under Education & Judicial Activism & Political Correctness

Homeschooling parents in California received a blow this week, as California’s Second District Court of Appeals effectively banned homeschooling, by requiring parents to have “teacher certification,” which, as anyone familiar with the glaring mediocrity and sophistry of schools of “education” knows, is a joke. Forsaking ancient parental rights, California wants to mandate mediocrity and state conformity. Justice H. Walter Croskey writes that the purpose of “education” is:

“… to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare.”

1984, anyone?

“… to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare.”

Well at least they’re no longer pretending that schools exist for the good of the students.

I attended a seminar in 1995 that stated that 1 out of 4 or 25% of all Americans now work for the government in some form. (Federal, State, County, Municipal.) That was 13 years ago, and Leviathan has been eating well. I have to wonder what happens when 50% lives off of the taxes of the other 50% ?……………….How would a conservative exist in that system? Can the private secter survive? Or, will we all just become comrades and call ourselves neocons?

Big business bureaucrats and managers seem little different from big government bureaucrats and managers.

Bigness continues to gobble up smallness, comrade roho.

If California is always ten years ahead of the other states, we have ten years to educate the next generation before the gig is up. Homeschooling is an important part of hope for a counterrevolution…

Searching for a certain other quote (we’ll come after your children), I stumbled upon this:

Every child in America who enters school at the age of five is mentally ill, because he comes to school with an allegiance toward our elected officials, toward our founding fathers, toward our institutions, toward the preservation of this form of government that we have. Patriotism, nationalism, and sovereignty, all that proves that children are sick because a truly well individual is one who has rejected all of those things, and is truly the international child of the future.

Gee, I wonder who gets to do the “teacher certifications?” The teacher’s unions themselves?

Home schooling is going to become more of a thorn than people realize. Here in Wisconsin local districts have lost money because students that opt out and are home schooled are lost dollars for the local districts because state funding is based on student enrollment.

It’s going to get ugly. I can’t think of any thing more American than homeschooling and they want to kill it. I wonder why? Wait, don’t answer that question, we already know why.
