Requiem in Pacem Kent Snyder
Patroon

Posted under Ron Paul

Sad news this morning. Ron Paul’s camapaign manager Kent Snyder passed away over the weekend due to pneumonia. He was 49.

I met Kent while working for the RP campaign in Iowa. A good and decent man, it was knowledge of Ron’s support on the internet that made him convince Dr. Paul to run for president when the latter was reluctant to do so.

So much has changed because Kent. Without him there would have been no campaign, probably no Bob Barr as LP nominee and the CP could very well have been stuck with Alan Keyes (perish the thought)  and no Ron Paul Republicans running for Congress. We owe him a great debt of gratitude.

All of us at CHT offer our condolences to Kent’s surviving relatives and all those who knew Kent and will take his loss very hard.

Wow..Add to that the Florida campaign manager was killed last weekend.

“The Ron Paul family received some truly sad news yesterday. Eric Davenport, one of the Presidential Campaign’s most important volunteers, was tragically killed in a traffic accident over the weekend. Eric and his young wife, Danielle, spent countless hours working in the South Florida RP ‘08 headquarters. Together, they made hundreds of calls, stuffed thousands of envelopes and walked neighborhoods tirelessly supporting liberty. They even took an extended leave of absence from their jobs so they could support Dr. Paul full time.”

How does someone die of pneumonia in 2008?

    roho,
pneumonia is almost always a secondary condition (albeit potentially fatal)
or diagnosis.. The primary can be anything from full blown aids to a S/P MVA (status post motor vehicle accident) …Quite often, older people who have major surgery will develop pneumonia afterwards, and THAT does them in.

Not sure what his initial problem was, it literally could have been hundreds
of things..but medical privacy being what it is (thank God) maybe it is best we don’t know. I seriously doubt it was HIV, however… Just to make the point though…I had a brother-in-law (the best one too…) who got sick, it took them over two years to figure out what it was (a rare ‘orphan’ disease with really long name) but he eventually died of pneumonia.

Lots and lots of MVA victims cannot fend off the accumulation of fluid
in their lungs, even with all the great drugs we have now, and they succumb to pneumonia.
