McCain’s missed opportunity
Patroon

Posted under John McCain

Speculate if you will what would have happened if McCain joined with the majority of House Republicans in opposing the bailout and whipped the party behind him against it instead of being seen as one of its proponents all in an effort to “leadership” and “bi-partisanship.” McCain had a chance to do this and according to Pat Buchanan in a very good piece, he blew it.

This really is a good piece. Maybe McCain was meant to win so we could push Baldwin (stupid moves like this pushing them to Baldwin).

If you need more proof that Palin is totally unprincipled (besides, I don’t know, being McSauron’s running mate), she supports the bailout. And her attempt to explain why this fascistic sociailism is preferable to the communistic socialism of simply giving away $700 billion to Americans was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen.

    Andrew,

I’m impressed you were able to watch the thing – I’m sure I couldn’t.

Maybe you have insomnia tonight? (The boring debate would work well I’m sure) :p

Actually, I never watched the debate but for bits and pieces replayed by the news. I’m not a masochist, after all.

I will either write in Huckabee or vote Baldwin. As you say, McSauron (good one) blew it. And Palin agreed. Down the tube, America.
