It may seem strange but as Joe Guzzardi points out in this VDARE.com article the immigration debate not only prevented amnesty from taking place, but it may very well have pushed the new ICE to start do something about illegals in order to at least keep a moratorium on all immigration from taking place. When was the last time you saw the Feds go after employers and punish them instead of just the mirgas?
