Posted under Conservatism & Republican Party
The designation RINO is being applied to a lot of people these days. Please define in the comment section below what RINO means to you. It would be helpful if you included examples of people you would and would not consider RINOs.
I will explain later, but I do not want to reveal my reason for asking this because I don’t want to skew the responses in a particular direction. (BTW, I obviously know it is an acronym for Republican in Name Only. That is not what I am asking. I’m asking what the word means to you when you hear it and/or use it.)

A Republican that does not adhere to historical Republican principles is a RINO. Lindsay Graham is an example.
The phrase should never be used against “a Republican I may disagree with”, such as Tom Tancredo in my case.

When I see the term “RINO” used, it is typically by conservatives to describe GOP leaders they believe don’t live up to their perception of what a true-blue (or is it “red” now?) Republican should be (limited government advocate, fiscally conservative, etc.)
That this pejorative actually describes the majority of GOP leaders, still does not change the notion of the largely hypothetical Republican archetype that exists in many conservative’s minds.

When I hear it, it comes from the mouths of the leaders of the republican party who are liberals in my opinion such as Boehner/McConnel/Steele, who call republicans that are even more liberal than the leaders RINOS such as Specter/Collins/Snowe.
Basically RINOS are republicans that are more liberal than the leadership who are also liberal and they just play the game of who’s less liberal and therefore call themselves conservatives because they are not as liberal as some in the republican party, when in fact most of the republican party is liberal, very few can call themselves conservatives, only hardcore immigration restrictionists can call themselves conservatives.
Its time to stop with this limited government/fiscal conservative garbage of who a conservative is (altho I agree with limited government/fiscal conservativism) but that is not the root of our problem, it’s the rapidly growing non-white population that is the problem.
I guarantee that if the republican party leaders stand up and say that the white man is getting screwed and we are going to take a stand for the white man, the republican party would be swept back into power.

Remember White Nationalism is just racially aware conservativism.
The only difference between conservatives and White Nationalists is that White Nationalists such as me have the guts/balls to call out the Jews/Blacks/Mexicans who are destroying my country and want them deported or better, for their actions against my country.

You guys are ignorant, blacks vote 95% or more for the democrats consistently, mexicans vote 70% or more for the democrats consistently, whites split their vote around 55-60% republican vs 40-45% democrat.
Pandering to the non-white vote has NEVER worked for the republicans.
The white vote makes up approximately 77% of the total vote.
Do the math, if the republicans can pull 10-15% of the white vote from the democrats then they can easily win.

70% of 77% of the total vote = 53.9% of the total vote.
And that assumes the republicans get ZERO votes from non-whites.

Often people confuse The CINO and RINO, assuming that the republican is not following the party line? In reality, for 6 years during “Dubya’s” rein, he did virtually nothing conservative and controled the the executive branch, house, and senate.
The GOP has simply become the least liberal of our 2 party system, saying anything conservative to get elected, and then returning to their true, core, policy. In my oppinion, Lindsey Graham and John McCain are not RINO’s, and actually represent the GOP for the washed out platform that remains. GOP=Gutted Our Principles.

It’s not racist to say that the white man is getting screwed, it’s a fact.
It’s also not racist to take a stand for the white man.
Is Laraza a racist organization?, Laraza mean for the race (mexican race).
Is the NAACP a racist organization?, they only promote and support pro-black agendas.
How come there are no pro-white organizations in the mainstream?, yes political correctness.
It’s alright to stand for Jews, Mexicans, and Blacks, but it’s racist to stand for whites; this shows the difference between conservatives of all walks of life including paleos vs White Nationalists.
Conservatives have never been able to put a stop to the deterioration of this country, why not try the White Nationalist way, hhhhmmmm?
Conservatives are all talk and no action, White Nationalists are ready for action and it would help if you conservatives or paleos would jump on board; but you wont.

A RINO is a conservative. We may occasionally identify with the Republican party when forced to by lack of a better alternative, but noone is more aware than we are ourselves that, when we do so, we are one in name only.

My guess for why the WNs flock to paleo websites and act like the parasites they are is because paleos appear to value free speech in a way that almost no other group can. We won’t take the actions to silence their banter that nearly any other website users would.

That’s debatable. White nationalism itself is a hard-core ideology that reduces things to what WNs believe is their “true” racial essence, and many paleos disdain ideology in general. Paleoconservatism implies nothing more than a generally traditionalist view in all respects.
If you were wiser, ERIC, you would take Captainchaos as an example of WN ideology at its logical conclusion. There’s most certainly a world of difference between him and Thomas Fleming.

David Allyn, I’m not going to say that democracy is the wonderful system that most make it out to be, but if you have a large number of non-whites in your country, it makes no sense to regard them as second-class citizens. That will only cause resentment and racial conflict.

Democracy ?? Who in their right mind would want democracy ? Anyone advocating liberty knows what is the end result of democracy. The founding fathers were very cautious of the whole concept of voting and with many a good reason. Thus the priviledge of voting (not a right) was left up to the states.
Locally, we just had a disaster with “democracy”. We had a $ 245 million govt school bond election. Everyone over 18 was eligible to vote whether they were property owners or not. The bond passed, and so now people like me who have children in expensive private schools have the imposition of higher taxes (on top of our tuition) to pay for all those kids in public schools with their new facilities etc., and I get to pay even more since I have several pieces of highly valued real estate in this city. Meanwhile, thousands of non-property and/or cheap property owners will get to use fancy new school facilities and pay little or no extra property taxes.
The wonders of democracy.
