I didn’t include this on my recent list of articles for your consideration but I don’t want to forget the recent Vanity Fair expose of Sarah Palin and the brawl it has started between neocons and McCain staffers.
Judge for yourself what you think of Palin after reading the article. My impression is that she’s ruthless, independent, a product of her place, clanish and ambitious. But such qualities are found and sometimes celebrated in many a male politican, especially the sainted Robert Kennedy. It obvious McCaniacs just haven’t figured out yet that attacking her only makes her a martyr to her supporters and makes them look like a bunch of CYA jerks. No doubt Palin will receive a lot of female sympathy, even from feminists and leftists, when males like campaign manager Steve Schmidt openly blabber about “post-partum depression.”
Still, this doesn’t change the fact that at some point Palin the Symbol will at some point have to become Palin the Substance and that’s when the rubber will hit the road, especially when those attacks will be coming from Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Mick Huckabee in the context of a campaign rather than from anonymous McCainiacs with axes to grind. They would have been better off just staying quiet.
Of course if they did those of us on the outside of all these shenanigans wouldn’t have so much fun enjoying this cosmo food fight. Keep at it boys!

Good Article Patroon………………..It sounds like politics in Alaska are much like politics in Lousiana, and “Made for A Drama Queen”?…No doubt, she is a drama queen. And look what she was in the company of? McCain himself is a walking “Conspiracy Theory”! And Randy Scheuneman was “McAmnestie’s” man in Georgia telling them to attack South Osatia!(CFR member as well as member of all of the Neocon front organizations.)……I think that “Miss Baracuda” found herself swimming with “Great White Sharks”, and over the next 6 months she will be revealed as the “Huey P. Long” of Alaska?
She survives now, only because the GOP has nothing.(In Tennessee tradition, they may resurect Bill Frist?)
