Is O’Reilly Growing Skeptical of War in Afghanistan?
RedPhillips

Posted under Interventionism & John McCain

Maybe. Did anyone watch O’Reilly tonight? He was giving McCain, who was on there defending a “surge” in Afghanistan, a very hard time. I would describe him as almost dismissive of McCain.

Addendum: Regardless, he is still beating the drums for war with Iran. Do these clowns ever learn? Did he not even listen to his own criticisms of the war in Afghanistan? They can’t not meddle. It is an irresistible impulse it seems.

I assume that O’reily’s perspective will be Rupert Murdock’s perspective, or O’reily will be the next unemployed Dan Rather?

Why would anyone want to go to war anywhere with a CIC named Barrack Hussein Obama.

    “Do these clowns ever learn?”

When you have a perfect ideology, there’s nothing left to learn.

What happens to American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq if America goes to war with Iran btw?

    Are they to be sacrificed?

Chris I’m not sure what you mean. If you are insinuating that he is a closeted Muslim, I don’t buy that. He is very likely a liberal universalist (all roads lead to Heaven). He is a self-identified Christian who belongs to a very liberal denomination (or did), the United Church of Christ, which is about as close as you can get to being a Unitarian without being one. On what grounds would anybody think that Obama subscribes to an illiberal religion of any kind, whether Muslim or orthodox Christianity?

I wonder if O’Reilly’s skepticism about Afghanistan is a result of a desire to free up troops to attack Iran. All but the most deluded war hawks have to understand that we can’t fight three wars at once.

I watch O’Reilly regularly (he has read three of my letters) and admire the fact that he apologized for his lack of factual reporting in the run up to the Iraq War. Unlike Hannity, he seems to have a conscience. His war mongering about Iran baffles me! Last week he actually said “Iran wants to kill as many Jews as they can”. I’ve now given up on him. Anyone with an internet connection and a little curiosity can find out that Iran has tens of thousands of Jews living in their midst, peacefully worshiping in numerous synagogues, and that the so-called threats to Israel were no threats at all. Why hasn’t Bill been more wary of the war propaganda this time? He must be a tool.

Dr. Phillips, I meant BHO himself. I didn’t phrase it right. My point was that it surprises me that the interventionists are still desiring of intervention with BHO as CIC.
