Gov. Pawlenty has been sending a lot of signals that he will be a candidate in 2012. Too bad he just disqualified himself. What kind of cluelessness does it take to want to reassemble McCain’s team? He should be disqualified on bad judgement alone, never mind what it says about where he is on policy.

Tim has a bigger problem than using McCain retreads in his campaign (probably because they work cheap). If the Vikings insist upon building a new stadium before their lease runs out on the Metrodome in 2011, then Tim is going to have to find a way to raise revenue in order pay for it. And won’t the Club for Growth have fun with that. And they’re not going to care of its for a new football stadium. A tax is a tax in their eyes. What ever shall Tim do? raise taxes and lose the GOP nomination or screw the Vikings and watch them leave for LA on his watch. His solution to this dilemma will certainly be Solomonaic.
