Goldberg Attacks Larison
Bede

Posted under NeoCons

Here is Jonah Goldberg attacking Daniel Larison, because of what Larison said here. Of course, there is no real competition, since Larison is a real scholar, and Goldberg a dolt. Mind you, Goldberg is the same culturally illiterate fool who confused what the Austro-Hungarian Empire was (here), has a fuzzy notion of patriotism (here) probably because of his dual / foreign loyalties, is a defender of political correctness (here), hates real conservatives (here), and generally mistakes left-wing Jacobinism for conservatism (here). Only in a movement of precipitous decline would a clown like Goldberg be given an editor position, and only in a time of ideological confusion would a fifth columnist like Goldberg ever be mistaken for a conservative.

Jonah Goldberg also implied that in 1500, western African kingdoms were qualitatively superior to Europe. His book, “The End of Racism.”

The End of Racism was Dinesh D’Souza, not Goldberg.

This is the natural outcome of legacy hires.

We have learned this leason in spades from the GWB presidency.

I clicked your links. Most amusing was the one where you claim he “defends political correctness”. That has to be the most insanely egregious misreading of anyone I have ever seen. It doesn’t even remotely come close to his point. If anything, it is the -polar opposite- of a defense of political correctness, it is a sneering condemnation of it. Every single place where you try to “gotcha” Goldberg for making some minor mistake on some obscure historical point about the Austria-Hungarian Empire or the precise definitions favored by obscure political writers doesn’t even remotely approach the egregious bad faith you display in referring to that article as a “defense of political correctness”. Sorry, but wow, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for trying.

Qwinn, I suspect that the links were provided in haste. The link isn’t exactly a defense of political correctness, but it is not the same moral outrage you see at this site.

But neocons, including Goldberg, have notoriously used political correctness to attack their critics on the paleo right. There is no denying that. So instead of decrying political correctness they use it as a bludgeon and hide behind it. I find this behavior absolutely shameful. Do you deny it? I can provide pages of links if you would like.

But did you read the “hates real conservatives” link? First, Gottfried is not an “obscure” political writer. If you think that you need to study up. The neocons certainly don’t think he is obscure, because he is near the top of their enemies list.

And the point is not about definitions “favored” by Gottfried. The point is very much political science 101. Goldberg and the neocons are a product of the left. The essay is devastating. He proves that point basically beyond dispute. Also read the Gottfried article a few posts down. Absolutely devastating.

Now please tell me Goldberg and neocons are not a product of the historical left.
