Barack Obama = Interventionism on Steroids

Posted under Election 2008 & Neoliberals

“In today’s globalized world, the security of the American people is inextricably linked to the security of all people. When narco-trafficking and corruption threaten democracy in Latin America, it’s America’s problem too. When poor villagers in Indonesia have no choice but to send chickens to market infected with avian flu, it cannot be seen as a distant concern. When religious schools in Pakistan teach hatred to young children, our children are threatened as well.” ~ Barack Hussein Obama

What would not be in the United States’ interest? Trash-collection rackets in Istanbul? Truancy in Quito?

I just tripped into your website. Great stuff. I hadn’t seen that Obama quote… The more I read, the less I like him. Most voters know that politicians have to pay lip service to fringe groups under the “big tent” in order to get elected. But this rhetoric is not coming from a fringe group. It is coming from a rogue group of globalist neocons who have no grassroots connection to either major party.

The Likud neocons are tying together the reins of power in the Republican Party, just as the Labor neocons did in the Democratic Party. The most intriguing aspect of Ron Paul’s candidacy is his large grassroots following. He is drawing people from the Vegan, tree-hugging left to the staunch, no-government libertarian right. We are drawn together as Americans, because we all see what is happening to our Constitution–which we hold more dear than any of the issues that normally divide us. It is a great testament to America’s fortitude. We have to show the rest of the country what is happening.

Perhaps Conservative Times could become to Ron Paul what Daily Kos was to Howard Dean? Just a thought.
