Healthcare Vote Today at 1400: Do Dems Have the Votes or Don’t They?

Depends on who you listen to. Rep. Boehner says no. Rep. Hoyers says yes, but only if a deal can be reached with pro-life Democrats.

Call your Congressman and pray.

Addendum: The deed is done. If any of you has a Congressman who voted for this abomination, please ask them what part of Article 1 section 8 authorizes this?

SC is filing a law suit.

Let’s hope the rest are too.

I guess Florida is as well: Two state attorneys general ready to file lawsuit on health care

Yes, Dr. Phillips, the democrats did have the votes. This type of travesty is, of course, exactly what keeps the Republican Party in the running. We would not have this if the less liberal McCain had been elected. We might have had something else, but it would not have been as bad. Liberals are really very bad.

    McCain would change this how?

Come on now. The bill would not have come up with the slightly less liberal McCain in the White House. Don’t be obtuse in your desire to prove how anti-Republican you are – we already know. Everybody knows. I’m not making an argument in favor of loving Republicans, I’m making a very believable statement of substitution.

The vote has got even Dan Larison fired up and going all out against the real culprits: Inconsistent and hypocritical Republicans! Ugh.

I agree with Matt, amnesty might be more likely under McCain, but this health care bill would not have even been on the table if McCain was Pres.

McCain could have vetoed the bill I suppose.

If we’d have gotten amnesty under McCain, Mexicans’ politicians would vote health care.
