So far Sarah Palin is winning, and Ron Paul is a close second.
Update: Ron Paul now leads.

Saw nobody really great in this poll. Saw plenty of terrible candidates. I voted Jan Brewer as a pro-Arizona protest vote.

Rudy/John Bolton 2012 would be a fabulous ticket that all Americans could rally around!

Ron Paul is leading now and he is the only one listed who would get my vote in a Republican primary or general election. I would not completely rule out Chris Christie, who is currently running third. I’ve heard some good things about him and nothing bad, but I’m lacking a lot of information about him. I’d be amazed if his foreign policy positions are any good.

Woden, what problem do you have with Ron Paul?

Its kinda strange how Ron Paul wins all the online votes becuase there are like 3 spammers who flood them and inflate his totals but on election day he loses every single vote! I mean really, what is the point of Ron Paul?

Woden,
I’m also awaiting a populist, and Palin isn’t my Boudicca.
I voted for Paul though, if it matters.

All of these names on this list are to Tea Partyish and would never stand a chance in the general election. I have no idea what business Al Queda’s favorite member of congress Dr. RINO Ron Paul even has being on this list. Personally, I think a Dick Cheney/Joe Lieberman ticket would be ideal for the GOP in 2012. Cheney is a war hero with executive experience and is a trusted national security conservative who did a great job keeping America safe for 8 years. Zero terrorist attacks under Cheney’s watch would be a great talking point for conservatives in the debates against Obama. We would really hit a home run with Lieberman on the ticket as vice president because he is a Veteran who would really bring out the democratic, independent, and Jewish vote in 2012, thus ensuring a conservative victory.

Good one, Nate! I was so busy chuckling at Cheney the war hero and Lieberman the veteran that the zero terrorist attacks on Cheney’s watch almost slipped by me. 9/11 just never counts under the neo-con “he kept us safe” mantra.

I like Paul and voted for him in the 2008 primary, and given the choices at the moment probably would again. I am not a libertarian by any means however and would like to see some other candidates in the race.

All neocons except for Ron Paul. It was an easy choice for me!

I like Ron Paul and would vote for him in a general election but I don’t trust him concerning immigration – too libertarian.

if it were Sarah Palin or Ron Paul, I would vote for Ron Paul. However, I hope it does not come to that.
Given a choice I will vote for Cain, but almost anyone would be better than Sarah Palin or the current president.
