In our ongoing effort to keep our readership abreast of all things right-wing third party we bring you this bit of news.
The Prohibition Party nominated Baptist minister Jack Fellure at its recent convention. The nomination was considered a bit of a surprise. Fellure is no stranger to Presidential politics, having run as a Republican several times before. Darcy Richardson has the story. Interestingly, the reportedly “sparsely attended” convention was addressed by some fairly well known (in third party circles) guests speakers – Libertarian activist Steve Gordon and ballot access expert Richard Winger.
Here is Fellure’s website. I saw his website earlier when I was looking at all the websites listed at politic1.com for obscure Republican candidates. Apparently he is a Ruckmanite (King James only). Correction: Actually I’m not sure it is accurate to attributeĀ every theological perspective on the website to Fellure. The website appears to belong to someone else and the section on Fellure’s campaign is just one page of it. (This doesn’t bode well. Steve Gordon’s talk was on using new media. Someone needs to take his advice.)
Here is the Prohibition Party’s website. Correction: Thanks to Bill Bledsoe here is the correct Prohibition Party website.

The web site you linked is operated by historian James Hedges.
The correct website for the National Prohibition Party should be
http://www.prohibition.org .

A libertarian activist was guest speaker at the convention of the Prohibition Party? Is that not a little like inviting Sarah Brady to address the NRA convention? Or Betty Friedan to address Eagle Forum?

That is too funny! As an Alabamian for 58 years, in and out of Cullman my whole life, I never knew a Prohibition Party even existed? …………………..They may be fighting the good fight, but the bootleggers just couldn’t stop Culman County from going wet last year…….Ha-Ha!

This man or someone like him is exactly what we need for our President! I’ll probably be voting for him. I love Pastor Fellure’s website. I’m with him 100%!

“The website appears to belong to someone else and the section on Fellureās campaign is just one page of it.”
This is correct. The website “The Sword of 1611″ is my website. I am Gary N Alford. If anyone wants more information on Brother Jack Fellure, write to me at docholliday1611@gmail.com. I can send some material by email attachments and other by snail mail.
As far as the theological perspectives on my website, Brother Jack and I should agree on probably 95% (or more) doctrinal issues. [The one thing that I am sure we disagree on is the "Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory". Upon a close examination, I have found no scriptural support for this theory.]
I had the privilege to meet Jack Fellure when he came to Open Bible Baptist Church in Elkhart, Indiana in September, 2008. Not only was I able to hear him teach and preach from the Bible on Sunday, but I sat with him and Pastor Dale Moore at dinner and fellowship the night before. Brother Jack is a humble, God honoring man. He is a Bible believing preacher. He is the right man for the presidency.

Jack Fellure’s so called presidential platform is the actual definition of bigotry. As a gay officer in the US Navy, I wish I had the rights that you all have to live free while i defend your right to marry and concoct these ridiculous views. I feel sorry for anyone who has had to listen to his rambling bullshit.

Robyn, why do you feel so bitter? As a gay man, you have an advantage over other soldiers because you have the capability of sleeping with anyone at anytime. The normal (see: straight) soldiers can not. While I respect your courage, I must say that I don’t think you’re fit to fight for our country.

Martin Skolle, you’re an ass-clown. How the hell does someone who is gay have “the capability of sleeping with anyone at anytime” and straight people do not? Technically, we all do, especially considering that nearly half of heterosexual marriages end in divorce. (Oops, I guess nobody was supposed to know that.) Robyn is far more fight to fight for our country than that theocratic asshole Jack Fellure is to be its President.
