I was surprised that it was 60-40 against another state seceding. Maybe if it were given a near term time frame, but it’s practically certain that a state or group of states will secede at some point. I doubt the US is any more eternal than any other empire preceding it.

I didn’t know about the one party state question either. I’d have to say that whether a political situation is good or not depends on the merits of the ruling party’s policies, rather than on whether there is the correct amount of pluralism or not.

B.O takes jabs against Wall Street but they are his biggest donors. That is all for play to convnce people that it is him and his administration against the rich. He has convinced them it is the middle class that is against him. The tea partiers ..I don’t think he will let a fair election happen.
